Library-to-Go

Library-to-Go is a mobile library service that makes Pincourt Library services more accessible.

This service is designed especially for:

  • Seniors
  • People with reduced mobility

Thanks to the work of volunteers, more people can now enjoy the pleasure of reading.

  • Books-to-Go

Books-to-Go, another facet of the Library-to-Go program, is a transportation service for anyone with limited access to the Library. Through Books-to-Go, such clients as people with limited mobility are able to visit the Library or borrow books from home.

    Volunteer’s role

Borrowing and delivering books to users’ homes, and driving people to the Library.

  • Becoming a volunteer

    Three easy steps:

1- Contact the Town employee in charge of social and cultural development:

    514 453-8981, ext. 273
    s.martel@villepincourt.qc.ca

2 - Complete the required documents (including the consent form for a police background check).

3 - Choose the type(s) of clients with whom you wish to work.

You will then be matched with a daycare centre or individual. You can decide together on the frequency and timing of your visits.

Throughout the duration of your volunteer services, the Town will encourage sharing and dialogue between volunteers. The Town is also committed to supplying you with everything you need to make your role as pleasant as possible.
