A Pincourt Artist will Exhibit at the Maison Trestler

Among the winning artists of the 2019-2020 edition of TRACE Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Pincourt artist Nicolas Novac was selected to exhibit at Maison Trestler from March 19 to May 31, 2020.

About TRACE Vaudreuil-Soulanges

TRACE Vaudreuil-Soulanges is a call for artistic proposals for emerging visual artists.

To be eligible as an emerging artist, candidates must be practicing visual arts and be in the process of professionalization. They must also be from and/or live in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.

Following the selection of a jury, three emerging artists were awarded a professional-caliber exhibition in one of the three venues (Pavillon Wilson Gallery, Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Maison Trestler).

About the artist

Originally from Romania, Nicolas moved to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region in 2010, and has been involved in many artistic projects since then. It is during the holidays of his childhood, with his grandmother, that he was introduced to drawing and painting.

A graduate of the George Enesco School of Fine Arts in Iasi, Nicolas also holds a Certificate in Multimedia from the Université de Montréal.

He has always felt a strong connection with abstract art and his artistic journey has led him to express himself in this universal language.

Nicolas prefers mixed techniques, using acrylic, Indian ink, charcoal, airbrush, plaster, gears and even objects that he molds himself. With his works, he wants to reach the public.

Nicolas Novac has exhibited his works at the Vacances en Art exhibition at the Pincourt Library, in addition to participating in the creation of murals on outdoor buildings.
