Fire Prevention Week

As part of Fire Prevention Week – October 7 to 13, 2018 – the Pincourt Emergency and Fire Protection Department will hold various activities.

The Grande Évacuation

The Grande Évacuation is an event where citizens, and especially families, are invited to conduct an evacuation exercise on the same day and at the same time.

When: Wednesday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Emergency and Fire Protection Department will visit District 6 and part of District 3.

When the alarm sounds on the day of the Grande Evaculation, families are invited to evacuate their homes in less than three minutes, according to the procedure set out in their evacuation plan, and to go to their chosen meeting point. When they leave, firefighters will meet with them to discuss their experience and hand out participation prizes. The Emergency and Fire Protection Department does not guarantee that it will be able to meet all the families in the target area.

The Grande Évacuation is an awareness initiative to help families understand the importance of proper preparation in the event of a fire. By practicing their evacuation plan, they can identify potential problems during an evacuation and make any necessary corrections.

Fire prevention roaming team visit (deadline to register is noon on Tuesday, October 9)

Residents from outside the target area can also participate by submitting their contact information:

A dedicated team will go meet with families who have registered.
