La Grande marche de Pincourt

The Grand défi Pierre Lavoie and the Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec (FMOQ) invite the population of Vaudreuil-Soulanges to the Grande marche de Pincourt, de Saint-Zotique et de Saint-Lazare on October 20 and 21, 2018.

Open to all, the Grande marche is a free event, where friends, family and family doctors walk a five-kilometer course in the various participating municipalities.

Pincourt and Saint-Zotique walks

Pincourt and Saint-Zotique will hold their walks Saturday, October 20. The Town of Pincourt is proud to associate neighbouring towns Île-Perrot, Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot and Terrasse-Vaudreuil to organize this walk. This is Pincourt’s second participation in the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie; in 2016, it was a stopping point on the 1000-kilometer bike ride.

In Pincourt, head to Olympique Park at 9:30 a.m. for on-site animation. The walk will start at 10:30 a.m. First, walkers will discover Olympique Park, the heart of the town’s recreational activities, with its water games, soccer, baseball and volleyball fields and municipal pool. Then, they will enjoy the charms of Bellevue Park, which is on the waterfront and has a splendid view of the Ottawa River. Toilets, drinking water fountains and parking are available on site, but note that dogs are not allowed.

In Saint-Zotique, the walk will take place at Parc Quatre-Saisons (461 26e Avenue, Saint-Zotique). Walkers are invited to meet at the park starting at 9 a.m. The warm-up period will start at 10 a.m., and the five-kilometer walk will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Saint-Lazare walk

Saint-Lazare will hold its walk Sunday, October 21, at 10 a.m., at Parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare (2800 Lotbinière Road, Saint-Lazare). Following on the heels of the Michel-Gauthier Cyclo-Tour, which was held in June, it is the Saint-Lazare’s second express activity for its residents. Five-kilometer and one-kilometer routes are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Toilets and drinking water fountains are available on site, and the route is located on a forest path. Note that dogs are not allowed on the site or the course.
