Pincourt presents Coopérative de solidarité du Bel Âge with a $1,490,000 cheque

The Town of Pincourt presented a $1,490,000 cheque to Coopérative de solidarité du Bel Âge de Pincourt, which will cover 15% of the amount the Société d'habitation du Québec requires for this residential project.

The Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM), of which Pincourt is a member, will reimburse this amount through its Social Housing Fund to which 82 municipalities contribute.

“The Board of Directors of Coopérative de solidarité du Bel Âge de Pincourt would like to thank the Town for this important contribution that will allow us to offer 80 affordable housing units, dedicated to the autonomous and semi-autonomous people in Pincourt and the region,” said Claude Chamberland, president of the Coopérative de solidarité du Bel Âge de Pincourt.

The future building, which is currently under construction, will include 80 affordable housing units for seniors with a slight loss of independence. This project will require investments totaling more than $18.1 million.

“Our involvement and contribution to the Coopérative de solidarité du Bel Âge de Pincourt is part of the Council's vision, through our Social Development Policy,” said Pincourt Mayor Yvan Cardinal. This project is inspiring for the entire community, as it demonstrates that determination and perseverance make anything possible. Congratulations to all the citizens who were involved in getting this project off the ground."
