- Important:  boil for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil, before drinking.
Also use boiled water for the following purposes:
- Preparing infant formula, bottles, and baby food.
- Making beverages, juices, tea, and coffee.
- Washing vegetables and fruits that will be eaten raw.
- Preparing foods that do not require prolonged cooking (canned soups, jelly, etc.).
- Making ice cubes.
- Brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth.
- Giving water to pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. Let the water cool sufficiently before offering it to them.
