Citizens’ Committees

The Town of Pincourt oversees volunteer committees to develop projects and activities for the Pincourt community.

The participation of a municipality’s citizens is key to its social development. You can contribute to your Town’s development on a volunteer basis by taking part in one of its citizens’ committees.

This is the ideal opportunity to voice your opinion, take part in community initiatives or organize activities that are important to you.

Want to join one of these committees?

It' easy! Please contact the person in charge of the social and cultural development at 514 453-8981, ext. 273.

  • Youth Action Committee

The Youth Action Committee is a committee whose members are between the ages of 14 and 25. Its mandate is to organize activities for the Town’s young people.

“Thanks to our hard work, we have succeeded in creating a much more attractive social life for young people. I’m proud to see how motivated the committee’s young members are.” – Nicolas Simard, volunteer
  • Intercultural Committee

The mission of the Intercultural Committee is to organize activities that bring the Town’s various cultural communities closer together. It seeks to take you to different lands without even leaving Pincourt.

“Implementing the Social Development Policy means getting out there on the ground. In my view, interculturality is about getting to know yourself as an individual.” – Assane Badji, volunteer
  • Healthy Town Committee

The Healthy Town Committee seeks to develop and organize community initiatives.

“Contributing to the Town’s social development allows you to be an agent of change rather than merely a spectator. It provides a forum where you can put forward the projects that you want to carry out.” – Josée Maltais, volunteer
  • Design Committee

The Design Committee aims to enhance the Town’s appearance by revitalizing its public spaces through the addition of public art and architecture. The Committee plans to pay special attention to the Town’s underused and abandoned public spaces.
